Blackwell Science Technology Medicine Collection
The 460+ Science, Technology and Medicine journals from Blackwell Publishing cover a broad range of core scientific disciplines and therapy areas, including many leading titles at the forefront of their fields. Two-thirds of the journals are published in partnership with scholarly and professional societies with international memberships. CU

Black Studies Database (Kaiser Index to Black Periodicals)

Includes more than 170,000 citations drawn from significant and influential journals, magazines, newspapers, newsletters, pamphlets and reports relevant to the Black experience from 1948-1986 in the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, The New York Public Library. CU

Online version of the cumulative Index (1811-1849) to Niles Register (also known as The Weekly Register, Niles Weekly Register, and Niles National Register). Full-text will be added semi-annually. Please consult the update page for details. CU

 

Family & Society Studies Worldwide

Family & Society Studies Worldwide (FSSW) is a core resource in NISC's series of databases on family and gender related topics. NISC has recently expanded the coverage of FSSW, which formerly was produced by the National Council on Family Relations (NCFR). FSSW contains all the citations of the discontinued print version, Inventory of Marriage & Family Literature, plus abstracts which were never available in print. CU

 

Middle Eastern & Central Asian Studies

MECAS is a systematic, and non-evaluative bibliographic index of research, policy, and scholarly discourse on the countries and peoples of the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa. Over 12,000 records of recently published & "grey" literature are added annually. CU

Science of Synthesis is the first critical and comprehensive survey of the synthetic organic and inorganic literature in English, providing an appraisal of methods for preparation of all classes of compounds.  This database is of use for chemistry, biology, and engineering where the synthesis of molecules is required. Education Abstracts includes comprehensive coverage of an international range of English-language periodicals, monographs and yearbooks. Coverage includes about 79 journals not covered by ERIC.  Education Abstracts indexes articles from 1983 to present.  In most cases, the Find it at CU icon will connect to the full-text.  Access limited to four simultaneous users. Requires VPN software to access off campus.CU

Nineteenth Century U.S. Newspapers

This resource provides full-text content and images from numerous newspapers from a range of urban and rural regions throughout the U.S. The collection encompasses the entire 19th century, with an emphasis on such topics as the American Civil War, African-American culture and history, Western migration and Antebellum-era life. iPOLL

A comprehensive database of 500,000 questions and answers asked in the U.S. since 1935. It offers complete question wordings and full survey-level citations, including the names of the organizations conducting and sponsoring the work, interview dates, and sample sizes. For bivariate and multivariate analyses, use RoperExpress to search the catalog of data sets by keyword, date, country, and survey organization.
