Team
Technology Room Policies
Team
Technology Rooms are available in Norlin Library, the W. M. White Business
Library, and the L. H. Gemmill Engineering Library. The rooms, funded
by student computing fees, contain electronic equipment and software
for groups preparing for presentations or other academic group projects.
Rooms are reserved by an individual member of the group through the Libraries
web catalog at http://libraries.colorado.edu/screens/teamrooms.html .
Hours of use for the Team Technology Rooms are consistent with the hours
of each library. For access
to a specific room on the reserved day and time, check out the key at the
appropriate library Circulation Desk.By booking
a specific room for a specified date and time, the team members obligate
themselves to the following policies: Reservation
Policies
- Rooms are
available for two or more Boulder Campus students who need space for
group projects and study sessions.
- Room reservations
are self-booked from the Libraries web catalog. Telephone or e-mail reservations
will not be accepted.
- Up to 4
hours in one day may be reserved by any one group.
- Rooms will
be held for 15 minutes after the beginning of the reservation time. At
the end of 15 minutes the room will be made available for rebooking.
- Individual
booking the Team Technology Room must also check out the key to the room.
Use Policies:
- University
Libraries policies regarding food, drink, and noise will apply at all
times in these rooms. Individuals found in violation of the policies
will have their room privileges revoked. Infractions will be reported
immediately to the Libraries Security or University Police if staff warnings
are ignored.
- Anyone losing
a key will be charged for the replacement of the key as well as the expense
of rekeying the lock (currently $100.00).
- Reserve
fines will apply for late return of room key.
- No software
or hardware settings are to be changed. Hard drives will be periodically
purged of non-application files. For your protection and privacy, store
data on virus free floppy discs.
- Supplying
floppy discs is the responsibility of the group.
- The group
is responsible for virus scanning of all floppy discs used. Viruses discovered
on the hard drive should be reported immediately to the appropriate Circulation
Desk where the information will be relayed to the appropriate ITS department.
- The University
of Colorado and the University of Colorado Libraries fully support and
comply with all applicable copyright laws. Therefore, do not unlawfully
duplicate copyrighted information or software onto any University of
Colorado workstation or file server.
- ANY DAMAGED
OR MISSING EQUIPMENT WILL BE FULLY CHARGED TO THE LAST GROUP USING THE
ROOM.
ITS is responsible
for maintenance of the equipment, but any missing, damaged or malfunctioning
equipment or software should be reported immediately to the appropriate
Circulation Desk.
