The General Photograph Collection of CU Boulder Archives
Many of the photos in the CU Boulder Archives are dispersed throughout a variety of collections and require a little bit of effort to find exactly what you might want to see...that is, if what you want to see even exists in one of our collections! One of the collections that tends to be the most useful for documentarians and historians working on Boulder related subjects is the aptly titled the General Photograph Collection. The collection contains over 2,700 somewhat random photos gathered over a number of years that did not belong to a larger collection. These images tend to have no contextual information like dates or locations. The photos in this collection tend to be grouped by subject, but be prepared to spend some time in the Reading Room if you are looking for something in particular! The images shown here are all part of the General Photograph collection! Contact sca@colorado.edu for more information.
The University of Colorado Boulder Libraries will celebrate the centennial anniversary of the Archives on June 6, 2018. This is story #36 in our series: 100 Stories for 100 Years from the Archives!
