Join the Pride Month celebration with resources and activities

The University Libraries celebrates the achievements, impact and contributions of our LGBTQIA+ community every day. Our ongoing work to fill the silences in our collections, resources, archives with diverse voices, like those of the LGBTQIA+ community, does not limit itself to a single month. We have created a resource guide to showcase the impact the LGBTQIA+ community has on our society, now and in the past. Join the Libraries in celebration by exploring our curated list of resources, events and more.

“The LGBTQIA+ Pride Month resource guide, along with the other heritage and history month guides we create, are our way of uplifting the resilient and vibrant voices that enrich our communities,” said Arthur Aguilera, collection assessment librarian. “We hope that campus will use these resources as a place to start their journey in learning about these communities and becoming an ally.”

As part of our commitment to diversity and inclusive excellence, on May 1, we installed an exhibit titled, On the Front Lines: A Brief History of Gay Activism in Boulder, curated by art and art history graduate student Mattie Hough which can be seen on the third floor of Norlin Library outside of the Rare and Distinctive Collections (RaD) reading room. Libraries student worker Emily Howard worked with RaD to archive the collection the exhibit was curated from; the exhibit will be up until January 2024.
