Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month Sept 15 - Oct 15
Enacted into law in 1988, this Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15 through October 15. This 30 day period commemorates the achievements, contributions and heritage of Hispanic and Latino Americans with roots in Latin American countries. Additionally, these dates mark the anniversaries of independence for several Latin American countries including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico and Belize.
The University Libraries encourages you to learn more about the many generations of Hispanic Americans who have greatly influenced and enriched our society and our culture.
