Gemmill Library closed for renovations

On May 31, 2024 the Gemmill Engineering, Math & Physics Library closed for renovations. The library is scheduled to reopen in summer 2025.

While Gemmill is closed for renovations, the collections will not be physically browsable. Campus affiliates can place holds on items in the physical collections and have them delivered to any of our open library locations. Faculty can also have books delivered to their campus mailbox.

The Earth Sciences & Map Library will extend their regular semester hours until 8 p.m. during the closure, and periodicals and popular science reading will move there for browsing. Course reserves will also be available at the Earth Sciences & Map Library. The book return box outside Gemmill will remain accessible.

In early 2022, Gemmill Library experienced water damage that closed the library temporarily. Renovations are needed to restore the library location which will include replacing the stacks that were outdated and water damaged.
