Seize the moment: Laughing Goat Scholarship applications now open
Applications are now open for the Laughing Goat Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship is open to students employed by the Libraries or the Laughing Goat and typically awards $500 to $1200 per awardee. The number of scholarships awarded will be based on the number of applicants, and the strength of their application materials. Please complete your application by March 15, 2025.
Awardees will be announced in April 2025, and all awards will be distributed for the upcoming academic year.
Application Instructions
You will need to submit a general application to apply. The system requires you to enter 100 words into the essay portion of the application. However, you are not required to create an original essay in order to qualify for the scholarship and you may use any text as long as it is the required length. If you choose to write an original essay for the general application, it will qualify you for additional scholarships.
You are encouraged to inform your current or former supervisor and work on application materials together.
If you are awarded a scholarship, we strongly encourage you to write a thank-you letter to the donor and agree to your names, likeness and biographical information being shared in Libraries internal and external communications.

The Laughing Goat Endowed Scholarship was established in 2020 by the University Libraries and the Laughing Goat Coffeehouse to recognize the unique contributions Libraries and Laughing Goat student employees have made to fulfill and advance its mission and values.
