4 ways to discover poetry during National Poetry Month

April is National Poetry Month, inspired by the beautiful lines from "Gate A-4":

This / is the world I want to live in. The shared world.

We’ve made adding poetry to your life easy:

Check out a poetry book

Find curated poetry displays for the month of April at the west and east entrances of Norlin Library. We have over 5,000 poetry books to choose from and we know you’ll find one you like. You can browse Norlin Stacks, Ask A Librarian, or use Library Catalog to locate a book, place a hold and have it delivered to your favorite Libraries location.

Pocket Poems

Visit any Libraries location throughout April to receive a pocket poem to carry with you.

Poetry Creation Event

April 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., join us at the West Reading Room in Norlin Library to create poetry in community, browse featured books of poetry and engage with librarians.

Community Poem 2025

Check out the final collaborative poem on April 15.
