Make your research more impactful at the Open Access Week Upload-a-thon

Do you want to expand the impact and reach of your work, but aren’t sure how? Join the University Libraries Oct. 21, 22 and 23, as part of Open Access Week, for CU Scholar Upload-a-thons and make your scholarship openly accessible to a global audience.

What is CU Scholar?

CU Scholar is CU Boulder’s institutional repository, an online platform that preserves and provides perpetual public access to the research and creative work of the university. By sharing your work in CU Scholar, you increase its visibility, attract more readers, and boost your academic reputation—all while supporting equitable and open access to knowledge.

Who should attend the Upload-a-thon?

Undergraduate and graduate students, faculty and staff are invited to join and learn how to upload their scholarly articles, data, and other research outputs to CU Scholar.

Join us at the Center for Research Data and Digital Scholarship (E206) in Norlin Library at one of the dates/times below for support, snacks and coffee while you get your work uploaded to CU Scholar to get it more attention and to provide equitable and open access to your scholarship.

Did you know?

  • Nearly three-quarters (74%) of articles by CU Boulder authors in 2024 were available via some kind of Open Access (OA)
  • At the end of 2024, there were nearly 20k OA items in CU Scholar, and these items were downloaded almost 36k times in 2024

If you’re unable to attend one of these times in-person, you can also send research outputs you’d like to be uploaded to to cuscholaradmin@colorado.edu (please see terms).
