Upcoming event shows how the University Libraries are where research partnerships begin
What happens when librarians and faculty collaborate on research? You get projects like a digital archive of tsunami data, a materials database supporting sustainable design, and a comics collection that reflects CU Boulder’s expansive approach to pedagogy.
On Jan. 29, the Libraries Collaborative Research Grant Showcase will bring together four interdisciplinary teams who received $10,000 seed grants to explore innovative research projects. These teams, pairing librarians with faculty from Environmental Design, English, ATLAS and CIRES, demonstrate how library expertise in data management, archival research and digital scholarship can elevate academic inquiry. Registration is appreciated but not required.
The event features short presentations, food and informal networking. It’s a chance to see what’s possible when librarians are part of the research conversation.
