- COMMUNITY AND ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Dr. Katie Randall joined the University of Colorado Boulder in 2023 as an Interdisciplinary Librarian. She supports scholars in the disciplinary areas of Linguistics and Native American and Indigenous Studies.
In addition to Dr. Randall's librarianship responsibilities, her research interests include the applications of sustainable practices to increase the representation and accessibility of Indigenous Knowledge in academic libraries, specifically through strategic acquisitions practices and critical approaches to collection development.
She is also interested in the impact of information literacy and primary source instruction for graduate and undergraduate students with a focus on non-Western ontologies and epistemologies, constructions of authority, and language. This intellectual curiosity stems from her background in History and the creative, pedagogical challenges of embedding primary source materials across interdisciplinary curricula to broaden students’ comprehension of information literacy.
An alum of the University of Colorado Boulder, Dr. Randall holds a PhD in History.
