Libraries News for CMCI - Spring 2024

Help your students access the books and materials for your courses without additional financial burden. Course reserves can be used for a wide-range of materials including library-owned physical and electronic books, streaming film, other media and instructors’ personal hard copy of books and media.

We provide library instruction and information literacy seminars during regularly scheduled class times.

The University Libraries provide numerous resources that may help you locate film, videos and DVDs.

University Libraries’ Digital Media Services (DMS) digitize a variety of audiovisual media for academic, promotional or personal use. We work with a wide range of archival and legacy audio and video tapes, discs, phonograph records, and motion picture film reels.

Subject librarians work with CMCI departments to build collections to support your department and they are experts on information sources and services in their subject areas. Contact your subject librarian to:

• Discuss strategies to integrate information literacy into your courses

• Consult on the most useful library tools, techniques and databases for your research

Located in the Art & Architecture stacks in Norlin Library, 2nd floor, this exhibit shares findings from research done by Environmental Design students on whiteness and campus design.

Located on the 2nd floor of Norlin, near the Children’s and Young Adult Collection, the “Your Place” exhibit explains the university research library to everyone, no matter where they are on their academic journey.
