Students to screen film and video from the University Libraries archives
Moving Image Archives (CINE 3043) students from the department of Cinema Studies & Moving Image Arts will screen two short programs of film and video from the University Libraries Rare and Distinctive Collections.
Members of the CU Boulder community are invited to attend the screenings on April 19 and April 26 starting at 7:00 p.m. in room 1B20 of the Visual Arts Complex.
These screenings are short programs of educational film, home movies, scientific research footage and experimental shorts. Each of the selections were digitized and preserved by the Libraries Digital Media Services with funding from a grant from the Institution for Museum and Library Services.
“It’s exciting to share our archival collections with different audiences,” said Jamie Wagner, moving image archivist with the Libraries. “The class really offers a unique professional experience for Cinema Studies students.”
