Brandi is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Epistemology, Ethics and Mind (Cognitive Science) at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. With her second master’s degree, she plans to combine her work in Library and Information Science with a grounding in moral philosophy to help people understand the ethical implications and ramifications of AI usage, including how we can work to preserve human agency and environmental wellness and shape legal policy regarding AI design and use.
She is also currently appointed to the American Library Association Artificial Intelligence Policy Working Group as Chair of the Public Good, Labor, and Sustainability section to develop the ALA’s new policy on the use of AI in ALA-affiliated libraries. The policy will be presented at the annual meeting of the ALA Council in March 2026 for adoption.
