Libraries News for the School of Education - Fall 2024

Help your students access the books and materials for your courses without additional financial burden. Course reserves can be used for a wide-range of materials including library-owned physical and electronic books, streaming film, other media and instructors’ personal hard copy of books and media.

We provide library instruction and information literacy seminars during regularly scheduled class times.

Rare and Distinctive Collections (RaD) includes rare books and manuscripts, the archives, government information and the map collection. Visit our reading room, book an instruction session or request specialized research assistance. Contact rad@colorado.edu for more information.

LibKey Nomad is an easy to install browser extension that provides one-click access to scholarly articles, ebooks and other Libraries resources on PubMed, Wikipedia, Amazon and hundreds of other scholarly publisher websites.

The Buffs One Read builds community through the shared reading of one book. Bring the conversation to the classroom through the community Canvas course.

Mark your calendars: the Culture Crawl is Sept. 25. Join this campus-wide event highlighting CU Boulder arts & culture. Activities include performances, art-making, immersive activities, giveaways and more.

Subject librarians work with the School of Education to build collections to support your programs and they are experts on information sources and services in their subject areas. Contact your subject librarian to:

• Suggest a library purchase
• Schedule a library instruction session for your class
• Discuss strategies to integrate information literacy into your courses
• Consult on the most useful library tools, techniques and databases for your research
