Borrowing University Libraries Materials
For CU Boulder students, faculty and staff, your Buff OneCard is your library card. If you're affiliated with Colorado Law, review the Law Library's circulation policies and procedures.
If you're not a current CU Boulder faculty, staff, student or affiliate, please see information about library privileges and registration, or contact us at libraries@colorado.edu.
For information about how to borrow items we don't own, see Borrowing from Other Libraries.
Loan periods, returns
Borrowing privileges include renewals, item limits, loan periods, renewals, and more, and vary by borrower type. Most items may be returned via library book drops (more about return locations).
In addition to books and media, we also have technology and other items available to borrow.
Renew or request materials, view account information
Current CU Boulder students, staff and faculty may log into My Library Account with Identikey to view items checked out to you, renew items, or see if you have any holds or fines. All others: please email libraries@colorado.edu for assistance with your password following our migration to our new library catalog system.
Request items online through the library catalog for hold pickup. CU staff, faculty and graduate students with campus mailboxes may request items for delivery there (more information about campus mail delivery).
Policies, fines & fees
Circulation policies, including fines and fees, are also available online. Law Library circulation policies vary from ours.
Overdue fines and fees may be assessed on some items, equipment, study rooms and recalled/requested materials. All library items are subject to recall and must be returned within a week. Be sure to check your e-mail for our notices.
